Out of the Chaos into Calmer Waters

We almost have all the boxes open.  I had to order more storage shelves and closets for the garage and a lower level storage room to totally solve all of my storage problems. Hopefully they will be here in a few weeks and I can finally get all things organized.  In the meanwhile, placing furniture and accessories in the house has been like playing a major chess game- move it in and move it out. Move it forward and move it back and on and on.   Every day brings small victories in my mission to conquer my stuff!   Here's a few shots of some of the progress!

Starting to hang pictures now- that's a big commitment!

Decided on the art to hang over the fireplace

I keep re-doing this center table in the gathering room.  I just can't make up my mind- more stuff or less stuff???

I keep removing furniture from this space and I am liking it better.

Learning where all the crazy lights are in this house!

I can now locate most of my dishes and am able to use them everyday.

This room is still a little too glitzy, but I love everything in it!  What to do???
More tweaking -

We are finally starting to landscape the outside.
All of the flower and herb  festivals are starting now and its fun to see what grows here.

We now have all the evergreens and boxwoods.
Now its time to add the color- peonies, hydrangeas, lilacs and ferns.

Tomorrow the outdoor furniture arrives for the decks.  That is an exciting addition for us.

There's still so much to do before my daughter's wedding in 5 weeks. Now I need to focus on the guest rooms downstairs, so people will have comfy places to stay.
