Chicago Botanic Gardens Winter Wonderland

The Chicago Botanic Garden has a Winter Wonderland that is perfect for cold days during the holiday season.  While inside a warm building, you can enjoy iconic Chicago buildings made of natural botanical materials. It's a treat for young and old alike!

Toy  trains meander through the exhibit  surrounded by fresh greenery and flowers.

Leaving the exhibit, you can wander through the warm greenhouses, full of holiday florals.

And even leaving the heated building, and walking back to your car, you cannot help noticing
the beauty of the winter gardens.

Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for sharing this. It is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the buildings! WE are so fortunate to live 15 mins. away from Longwood Gardens in Kenneet Square, Pa. We went last week and it too, is fabulous. I will do a post on it. Happy new year!

Hi Susan, Having left the Chicago area almost 5 years ago and missing Romancing the Home and everything else about the area, your blog site has kept me "alive". Thank you for everything you share. I feel like I'm there! I loved shopping your store, got to tour your home when it was on the Christmas tour, and will miss seeing all the familiar spots when you move to Asheville. I sure hope you continue with your wonderful blog and continue to be inspired by your new home. I wish I could share the inspiration I have received from you. I bought a beautiful lace piece from RtH and a needlepoint pillow many years ago. I finally this year got to incorporate them into my new home and I just love them. Thanks again for sending us all the loveliness our way. Deb
