Winter Dinner Party

Last week temperatures were in the 50's, and now there's snow on the ground in Chicago and the forecast is for more snow this weekend. So we will settle in for one last winter dinner party. Maybe the little touch of turquoise will remind us that blue skies are coming! I love the little touches of sea shell that foreshadow upcoming days at the beach. But for now, the touches of rhinestone add brightness to our day. Antique Rosenthal plates sit on top of capiz shell chargers. Vintage and venetian glassware are mixed to evoke romance for this evening dinner party. To mix it all together, we have used a stenciled zebra cow rug as the tablecloth- yes, it is a bit of everything- but so is the weather in Chicago this time of year! Be sure to visit www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com for more beautiful tables.

The berries tumbling out of the Nautilus shell made my day. LOVE the green glass dessert plate. I would love to have seen more photos of different angles of the tablescape so I could see what the rhinestone piece really looked like. I'm anxious to explore more of your website. Looks enticing.

Lucky person who gets invited to your winter dinner party! Your table is gorgeous and I especially love the little turquoise plate under the sherbet/cocktail dish.
